I tried my chyawanprash (expiry 2010) but tastes d same should i eat it?

my chyawanprash has the expiry date of oct 2010, i bought it a yr ago but didnt eat it.. i tried it now but it tastes the same. can i consume it? or shld i buy a new 1.. its in a plastic bottle. its not the chawyanprash m concerned of but the plastic bottle its packed in.
