For toronto transit: what is the expiry time frame for bus/train ticket transfers?

I had not heard of the 90 minute thing. My understanding, and it used to be printed on the back of the transfer ticket, was that it was good for the next vehicle on the connecting route after your starting vehicle arrived at the transfer point.
