What do the 'end of the world' fanatics do when we survive yet another apocalypse?

In my life time alone I've survived two apparent apocalypses & feel confident about surviving the third in 2012, as do most of us I'm sure. But a lot of... Well... Crazy people seem to somewhat commit their entire existence on preparing for such events. What do these people do when we yet again surpass our apparent date of expiry?
