What happens when you save marijuana in ten years time or something?

let's just say that i have marijuana ( i don't) and what would happen to that marijuana if you save it, say ten years time or something? would it go off like milk or would it be preserved? can it be different if it was in a ziplock bag, or not? how old can it last for before it finally expires? does marijuana have an expiry date at all?
